Wanda Austin, age 72, of Birmingham, passed away on February 25, 2021. Wanda retired from the Social Security office after 41 years of dedicated service. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Adam and Mrs. Johnnie Austin. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother, Allen Austin (Elizabeth); sisters, Janet Austin (Craig) and Donna McLaurin (Steve); nieces and nephews, Justis McLaurin (Kathy), Stevie McLaurin (Josh), Ashley Vibert (J.D.) and Emily Colvin (Brandon). The family will receive friends at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, March 1, from 10 am until 11 am. The celebration of Miss Austin’s life will begin at 11 am in the chapel. Burial will follow at Old Chapel Cemetery in Wilsonville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Michael J Fox Foundation to fight Parkinson’s. www.michaeljfox.org.
