Bernard "Bert" L Dillahay

Bernard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carole Dillahay; daughter, Rebecca Hurst (Gary); sons, Lee Dillahay and Brent Dillahay (Livie); grandchildren, Jessica, Kristina (Calvin), Nicki, Trae (Brittany), Savannah, Jacob, Alexa, EmmaLee, and Maddie; great grandchildren, Kai-Landon, Jeydon, Camryn, Heaven, Serenity, and Luca; brother, Rick Pierson (Debbie); brother in law and sister in law, Larry and Ann Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Frances Pierson; daughter in law, Angela Dillahay; and brothers, David Pierson and Melvin Pierson

A visitation will be at 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 2219 2nd Ave N, Pell City AL, 35125. A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Kilgroe Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Bain officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Pell City, AL.

The family wants to extend a special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of Southern Care New Beacon hospice for the loving care over the past few months.
