Pell City - Funeral Service for Mrs. Betty Newton Fluharty, age 73, will be held Monday, January 23 at 11 a.m. from the graveside at the Pope Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 22 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City.
Mrs. Fluharty passed away Saturday January 21, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Fluharty; sisters, Lillie Ruth Duck, Lillian Lorene Girardin; and parents, Bessie Newton and Louis Newton.
She is survived by her son, Victor Dewayne (Kathrine) Fluharty; daughters, Maria Croft, Nancy (Chuck) Holloway; brothers, Jerry Paul Newton, James Lloyd Newton, Wayne Terrell Newton, William Louis Newton Jr. ; sister, Dorothy Greene; grandchildren, Johnathan Croft, Cody Holloway; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fluharty, Victor Fluharty II, Abigail Carrol.
