She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Janice and Richard Hovey, her grandchildren Eric and Lauren Hovey, her Sister-in-Laws Martha and Dianne Talyor, also nieces and nephews located in Alabama, Illinois and Indiana.
She was pre-deceased by her husband James (Jim) Heise, her special friend and travel partner Clyde Wesson, her sister Jackie Wood, her brothers Jack and Roy Talyor, her brother and sister in-law Bob and Sandy Heise.
Betty met her husband Jim while he was stationed in Alabama during the war. They married and relocated to his hometown in Illinois where they spent many years. After retirement they returned to Alabama and purchased a home on Logan Martin Lake in Pell City where Betty found her calling as a real-estate agent. She loved and excelled at her job and the people she met doing it.
Betty’s other loves were ballroom dancing several nights a week with Clyde, and they also traveled the world together. Neither of them were able to travel when they were younger; but they certainly made up for that later in life!
She was also a huge theme park fan. The family went to Orlando every 2 to 3 years for years. She was still riding roller coasters at 90 years old, and we have the pictures to prove it!
She loved her friends! She was always telling me how much fun they had together. I am so glad she had that.
In my mind she and Clyde have already found the dance floor in heaven.
