Funeral services for Mr. John Vernon Alexander, 81, and Mrs. Carolyn Jane Alexander, 74, of Sterrett, will be Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00am at the Beulah Church in Sterrett with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander died Thursday, May 12, 2016.
Survivors include their two daughters, Leveron Alexander and Carolyn Faye Motamed (Hank); three grandchildren, Ashley Jane Hill, Rachael Motamed, and Lydia Motamed; and one great-grandson, Nathan Hill.
Mrs. Alexander is also survived by one brother, Willard Johnson and two sisters, Joy Spradley and Elaine Johnson. She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Matthews; and her parents, Rev. James and Irene Partridge Johnson.
Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Alexander and his parents, Mutt and Annie Mae Stracner Alexander
