

He leaves his wife, Kathryn (Williamson) Killorin; son, Patrick Killorin; daughter, Mary Louise Jurgenson; son, Matthew Killorin; dearest beloved brother, Joseph Killorin; former wife and mother of his children, Isabelle Killorin; grandchildren: Lee Speir, Patricia Speir Vinewitz, Megan Harris, Justin Jurgenson, and Joshua Jurgenson; great grandson Nolan Speir; nephew, Dale Borden; nieces: Claire Killorin, Diana Killorin, Suzanne Borden, and Christa Pate; great nieces and nephews: Joy Powell, Palmer Powell, Logan Campbell, and Cylas Borden; brother and sister in laws: Bob and Joy Newman, and Carl and Suzanne Williamson; dearest friends and caregivers, David and Lynn Reynolds; dearest neighbors, Don and Lorrie Okonsky, and many, many other close friends. George is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Myrtle Belle Killorin; a brother, Edward Killorin; nephew, George Borden; and nieces: Elizabeth Killorin and Canda Borden.
Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, George attended Benedictine Military School before a four year Air Force enlistment. After discharge, George attended Georgia Tech University where he earned a degree in Architectural Engineering.
After earning his degree, George worked for Daniel Construction Company as a manager for multimillion dollar commercial construction projects. A position was offered in San Juan, Puerto Rico and George and Kathy took the bold step and moved to the Caribbean island where George was later promoted to Caribbean Regional Manager. They lived in Puerto Rico for 17 years and made many lifelong friends before George was promoted again to the southeastern region in Birmingham, Alabama.
Memorial services and celebration of his final journey home will be held on March 30, 2017 at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama at 2:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shilo United Methodist Church in Talladega or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church or The EWTN Catholic Network.
