Marsha O'Neal

She is survived by her devoted husband, Buford “Gene” O’Neal; her sons, Paul Pyles (Shannon) and Daniel O’Neal; her sisters, Sheila Harris (Shane), Diane Brown, and Susan Pomfrey; grandchildren, Aidan and Ansley Pyles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, John A. Brown and Lona Cathryn Brown; and brother, William F. Brown.

Marsha worked in healthcare before retiring, and she brought the same care and diligence to her professional life that she brought to her roles as a mother, wife, sister, and friend. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and wit. Marsha was a member of Victory Church in Pell City. She loved cooking, singing, scuba diving, shopping, and serving those in her church community, but above all, she treasured time with her family. Marsha’s joy came from giving to others and making them feel cared for, and her kind spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

A visitation will be on Friday, May 16 from 1:00-2:00pm with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00pm at Kilgroe Funeral Home. All who knew and loved Marsha are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
