Melba Jo Massey Shaw gained her heavenly wings on September 13, 2022. Melba, also known as Nana to her family was a woman of God her entire life. She was an active member of Davis Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, teaching the children’s Sunday School Class as she believed in planting the seed of faithfulness at a young age.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Charles Ray Shaw, sister Wanda Massey Hudson, brothers Ray and Harold Massey. She survived by her son’s Charles Stephen Shaw (Janet) and Shawn Christopher Shaw (Shelly) and her grandchildren Stephen Shaw (Kaitlyn), Mallory Shaw, Emilee Fleming (Michael), Hannah Shaw, and Keilee Shaw, Callie Debien, Avery Locklear, and Jordan Locklear and her great grandchild Indie Ray Jane Autrey.
She will be missed, never forgotten, and forever loved.
A visitation for Melba will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Davis Chapel, Highway 55 North, Sterrett, Alabama. A funeral service will occur Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Davis Chapel.
