Mildred Lorene Jones

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mildred Lorene "Nan" Ramsey Jones on October 6, 2025, at the age of 94, in Vincent, Alabama. She was born on October 28, 1930, in Ashville, Alabama to parents, William Isaac and Ora Catherine Ramsey. She was a resident of Shelby County for 68 years.

She was married to the love of her life- William Brady Jones, Jr. at the age of 17 (He was 20). They were married for 56 years at the time of his passing in March 2003. She was a homemaker, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother and a great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kay Jeffreys; granddaughter, Amy Patrice Cruea (Brian); grandson, Nathan Jeffreys (Jennifer); great grandsons, Brandon Wayne Knox (Kaylin) and Brady Shane Jeffreys; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Alysse Scott; great-great granddaughter, Nevaeh Grace Knox; and great-great grandson, Landon Wayne Knox.

A graveside service for "Nan" will be held on October 15, 2025, at 2 pm at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashville, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Jeffreys, Brady Jeffreys, Brandon Knox, Brian Cruea, Dennis Runyans and Andrew Brown.

Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Smiley, Joel Smiley and David Smiley.

Bro. Robbie Weems will be officiating the service.
