

30 at her home in Pell City at 94 years of age. She was born in Oakdale, Tennessee but
spent most of her adult life in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She had a long career in retail
working for the Wohl Shoe company as the shoe department manager for Loveman’s
department stores in Chattanooga.
She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic church and was involved in various ministries of
the church until her health prevented it.
She moved to Pell City in May of 2024 when her health prevented her from living alone in
her home on Chickamauga Lake. As a resident of The village at Cook Springs she met new
friends and took new pleasure in life and living in this social environment.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Yaeger Jr. to whom she was married for 50
years and was the father of her two children. She is survived by her son James Yaeger
(Vickie) of Pell City, Alabama and daughter Patricia Gatlin (Tom) of Cleveland, Tennessee
and two grandchildren Jennifer Mason (John), Emily Sweeney (Patrick) and three great
grandchildren, Adelle, Lena and Laura.
Millie had a dry wit and infectious smile that made her fun to be around. She will be deeply
missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be interred at a later date in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, at a private family
service.
