With deep sorrow and enduring love, we share the passing of Paul Muse and his beloved wife, Ann Muse (Porter) who entered eternal rest just weeks apart. Though they left this world separately, their lives were forever intertwined—high school sweethearts who married in 1984 and spent 41 years side by side, building a home and a life filled with love, devotion, and laughter.
Paul and Ann were the proud parents of five daughters, including Kristina Greenwood (Robert), Amanda Preston (Ross), Kimberlyn Milligan (Michael), Lorianna Nelms (Robert) and Alexandria Muse; grandchildren, Kayleigh Greenwood, Hayes Greenwood, Ryker Preston, Caleb Milligan, Barrett Nelms and Virginia Nelms; Paul's sisters, Lynn Armstrong and Suzanne Chapman (Jerry Walker); Ann's sisters, Jan Brasher (Greg), Terri Miller, Lee Sasser (Scott), Liz Johnson (Jess) and sister in law, Danna Porter; Ann's brothers, Pat Porter (Dale), Joe Porter (Debbie), Jack Porter (Angie), Brian Porter (Cindy) and David Porter (Esther). Paul and Ann are preceded in death by Paul's parents, George and Anna Muse; Ann's parents, Robert and Virginia Porter and Ann's brother, Arthur Porter. Anne was the heart of the family—a devoted wife and mother whose strength, warmth, and unwavering love created a home where everyone felt safe and cherished. She poured her heart into raising their daughters and nurturing the household with grace and purpose.
Paul was a steady, loving presence—a hardworking provider who cared deeply for his family. Known for his quiet strength, easy sense of humor, and deep loyalty, he was a man who led by example and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Saturdays in the Muse home were filled with tradition, especially Alabama football, which brought the whole family together. Their home was full of the sounds of the game, laughter from the kitchen, and the love of a tight-knit family.
Their love story—rooted in young love, strengthened through life’s seasons, and enduring beyond their final days—remains an inspiration to all who knew them. While their passing leaves an immeasurable void, their legacy of love, faith, and family will live on through their children and all who carry their memory forward.
A visitation for Paul and Ann will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 2219 2nd Ave North, Pell City, AL 351251705, followed by a memorial service beginning at 5:00 PM.
