

Dwayne was born in Oceanside, CA on August 2nd, 1934, the son of the late Kenneth and Keitha (Hawley) Oswald. Dwayne was a career truck driver, hauling milk in his early years and then drove for Penn Yan Express for 32 years, he also drove a school bus for Penn Yan Central Schools for 10 years. He served in the US Army Reserves and was a member of the Penn Yan Moose Club.
Dwayne is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marilyn Charlsen Oswald; children, Pamela (Don) Osgood of Penn Yan, Henry Oswald of Penn Yan, Darrell (Mona) Oswald of Spring Hill, AR, Sue (Gerald) Sellers of Lexington Park, MD, and Glenda (Chris) Flynn of Corning; grandchildren, Christopher (Erin), Michelle, Dwayne (Elizabeth), and Matthew Osgood, Deanna Simpson, Gerald and Brittany Sellers, and Connor and Logan Flynn; great grandchildren, Jacob, Emerson, Olivia, and Eleanor Osgood; sister in laws, Edna Reiners and Colleen (David) Wight; close friend, Theresa Farrell; and his canine companion, Rusty.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday, September 26th at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, where a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 11am. Interment will be at Benton Cemetery in the Town of Benton.
