Elsie May Donaldson Davis

Elsie was born in Branchport, NY on November 6th, 1916, the daughter of the late, Frank and Ella (Sutherland) Donaldson. She worked for many years as a press operator for Michael Sterns in Penn Yan. She loved tending her gardens and most of all spoiling her grandchildren.

Elsie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Phyllis Davis of Penn Yan; grandchildren,Scott Davis, Craig Davis, John Nielsen of Penn Yan, Julie (Jim) Chambers of Montana, Howard Nielsen of Penn Yan, Lorie Nielsen of Wisconsin, Amy Nielsen of Penn Yan, Brenda Nielsen (Stephen) of Penn Yan, and Carla (John) Greene of Colorado; 20 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Carleton Davis; daughter, Carel; and her four siblings.

Friends and family may call from Noon to 2 pm on Sunday, July 17th, 2016 at the Townsend Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan where her funeral service will follow at 2pm. Burial will be at Branchport Cemetery, Branchport, NY.
