Sandra K. Harris, 63, of Penn Yan, NY passed away on September 26, 2012 in Altoona, PA surrounded by her beloved family.

Family & friends are invited to call at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm. Sandy’s memorial service will be on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Penn Yan at 1:00pm. Memorial’s may be made in Sandy’s name to the Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 Route 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527.

Sandy was born in Penn Yan, NY on September 8, 1949, the daughter of Richard & Iona Oakley McCann. She was the supervisor of the Yates County Department of Motor Vehicles and she was a member of the Moose Club. Sandy loved riding motorcycles with Daryl and friends, shopping, going to the casino, having her hair done, and she loved her 2 cats - Cinderella & Peppie. She was a fabulous cook who enjoyed most spending time with her family and her best friend Kathy Dean.

She is survived by her husband, Daryl Harris; son, Jody (Lynda) Harris; daughter, Brandy (Michael) Schrouder; grandchildren, Kyle (Allison), Casandra, & Courtney Harris; great granddaughter, Aubrey Harris; sisters, Sherry (Howard) Fox & Linda Betts; brother, Richard McCann; father, Richard McCann; nieces, Michele Thompson & Christina (Tracy) Miller. Sandy was predeceased by her mother, Iona McCann; sister, Joan Murray; mother-in-law, Ester Harris; father-in-law, Lawrence Harris.
