
Ginny was born in the Town of Jerusalem, NY on November 5th, 1924, the daughter of the late Charles and Ora (Orr) Dinehart. She worked all her life on the family farm as well as willow tied and picked grapes for many local vineyards. She had also worked as a cleaner at the Branchport School and Penn Yan Academy before retirement. Ginny was a member and past treasurer of the Branchport United Methodist Church, she was also a member of the Auxiliary of the Branchport Fire Dept., the Branchport Cemetery Association, member and past treasure of the CSEA Local Union and the Guyanoga Grange. She loved to go on K-Venture Trips.
Ginny is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Lori Burk; grandchildren, Charles Burk and Melissa Burk; great grandchildren, David Jr., Kenneth, Violet, and Trey Hopkins; step grandchildren, Scott Fisher and Jenny Perron; her sister-in-law, Pauline Dinehart; brother-in-law, Lyle Burk; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ginny was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Burk on January 28th, 1977; six sisters and 1 brother.
Friends and family are invited to attend her memorial service at the Branchport United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 7th at 2 pm. Burial will be at Branchport Cemetery in Branchport, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ginny’s name to the Branchport Cemetery Association or the Branchport United Methodist Church, PO Box 2, Keuka Park, NY 14478.
