

William was born in Houlton, Maine on March 3rd, 1941, the son of the late Blanche and Lawrence Pringle. He graduated from Houlton High School and served in the US Air Force from 1960 thru 1964. He had worked as an air craft mechanic and later drove truck for many van lines including Petro and United. William served as a troop leader and commissioner for the Boy Scouts. As a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, William held many offices and received the Pilgrim Degree of Merit. He was a past president of the Penn Yan Kiwanis Club and held the distinguished office of Lt. Governor of the Kiwanis of the Finger Lakes.
William is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Ann (Musso); sons, William and Stephen of Patchogue, and Paul of Hilton; five grandchildren, Jack, Emily, Logan, PJ and Ellyson; sister, Mae Pringle Alber; and brothers, Arthur and John Pringle all of Maine. In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his brothers, Merle of Long Island, Larry and George of Houlton, Maine.
A memorial service will be held at the Townsend Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan on Saturday, October 7th at 12 Noon.
