

Anne M. Baker, 89, passed away peacefully on October 3rd at West Florida Hospital. She was born March 18, 1923 in Orrville, AL to Blanche and Webb Moore and lived there until moving to Selma, AL to attend business school; after which she worked in Selma at a Law Firm and then for Peoples Bank. Anne married our Daddy in 1944, became a homemaker and moved with him to Warrington, FL in 1948. She has been a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church since that time.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter and her beloved husband of 56 years Wilson P. Baker. She is survived by her sister, Mary Glenn Pryor and brother, Charles W. Moore; her five daughters, Mary Anne Peters (John), Frances Dennis, Cathy Majewski (Terry), Cabrini Bowe (Keith) and Theresa Donahoe (Joe); 13 grandchildren (her Baker’s dozen as she liked to call them); 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Sunday, October 7th from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. with the Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at St. John Cemetery on Old Corry Road.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
