A celebration of life service for Mr. Arthur Fred “Art” Hillis will be held at 12:30PM Friday November 3, 2017 at Heritage Baptist Church in Cantonment. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in Pensacola.
Mr. Hillis was born December 5, 1934 in Susqehanna, PA to Clayton Hillis and Minnie Hillis. He died October 27, 2017 in Pensacola. He was retired from the US Navy as a Photographer’s Mate having achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. He and his family moved to Pensacola in 1969. In his spare time, he was a volunteer at the Health and Hope Clinic. Mr. Hillis was a faithful member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Mr. Hillis is survived by his wife: Margaret Marie “Terrie” Hillis, two sons: Roger Hillis and wife Stephanie and Doug Hillis and wife RheeAnn; two daughters: Karen and husband Kenny Statam and Kim and husband William Biggs; grandchildren: Reagan Hillis, Taylor Hillis, Hannah Hillis, Sharleeann Hamilton, Kyle Statam, Crystal Payne and Rebecca Maloy and great grandchildren: Mikayla Lanza, Savannah Payne and Leila Statam.
