Barry N. Kilpatrick, born November 1, 1968, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2011, at Covenant Hospice Inpatient & Palliative Care Center at West Florida Hospital following a brief illness.
Barry was one of those people you met and immediately became your friend. He was a committed Alabama Crimson Tide fan who never missed a game and would defend his team to the end. Inspired by his father, hunting and fishing became his favorite pastimes. Whether hunting a trophy buck or reeling in a big bass, he lived life to the fullest and always had an interesting story to share.
Barry is survived by his parents, Nick & Linda Kilpatrick; son, Nicholas Kilpatrick; spouse, Kristi Kilpatrick; sister, Kim Caudill (husband, Craig); nieces, Heather Foley & Caitlin Caudill; maternal grandfather, Walt Weaver; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and a very special person in his life, Kim Kibodeaux. Barry was followed in death by his beloved granny, Inez Weaver.
Funeral services will be Sunday July 17, 2011 at 2 PM at the Chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, FL. As a tribute to Barry, please dress casual as this is what he would prefer.
In lieu of flowers, an educational fund has been established for Nicholas Kilpatrick at Bank of the South, P.O. Box 3229, Pensacola, FL 32516.
