

Bart was born on July 30, 1970, in Saint Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Parkway North High School in 1988, he enlisted in the United States Marines where he served as an Aircraft Communications, Navigation, and Weapon Systems Technician. In 1994, Bart completed his enlistment with the Marines and went on to study Information Systems at Maryville University of Saint Louis graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999. During his time at the university, Bart served in the Missouri Air National Guard as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice and later in the Army National Guard as a UH-1 Helicopter Repairer. Bart was commissioned as an Army Lieutenant through Officer Candidate School in 2002. He was a member of the Army National Guard from 1998 until 2011 when he transferred to the Army Reserves.
Bart’s most salient military assignments and deployments included deployments with the Marines in support of Operation Restore Hope in Somalia; with the Air National Guard in support of the Combined Task Force, Operation Northern Watch, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey; in the Army National Guard and Reserves as Platoon Leader, 653rd Signal Company, Najaf, Iraq; as Commander, 870th Engineer Company, Crestview, Florida; as Civil Affairs Team Leader, Rule of Law Field Force, CJIATF 435, Helmand Province, Afghanistan; and as J9 Civil Affairs Plans Officer / Operations Officer, J9, Joint Task Force Bravo, Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.
His military education included the US Army Signal Officer Basic Course, US Army Engineer Captains Career Course RC, US Army Civil Affairs Qualification Course, US Army Intermediate Level Education, and Naval Post Graduate School Security, Stability and Development in Complex Operations. In 2019, Bart completed a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity with the University of West Florida.
As a contractor, in 2001, Bart went on to work for Science Applications International Corporation as Programmer Analyst at the United States Air Force Special Operations School and subsequently the Joint Special Operations University at Hurlburt Field, Florida. In 2008, he began work with Sierra Nevada Corporation where he worked as a Field Service Manager for Special Programs.
In 2007, he met Grisel, and they wed in 2011.
Bart was predeceased by grandparents, Herman and Mildred Nowack. He is survived by his wife, Grisel Mundo-Love; sons Robert De Leon-Mundo and Andres De Leon-Mundo; parents Shirley and Donald Clevenger, Bruce and CeCe Love, and Albert Ruhl; siblings Jennifer and Mike Bassett, Christy and Wade Strathmann, and Matthew and Kristian Clevenger.
A graveside service for Bart will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508.
