Carl Thomas Young

Mr. Carl T. Young, age 64, of Pensacola, FL went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2014. Mr. Young was born on April 29, 1950 in Valparaiso, FL and had resided in Pensacola (Beulah) most of his life. He was an active member of Ferry Pass Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran and had previously worked for the City of Pensacola (ESP). He was a devoted husband, loving father, father-in-law, papaw and was a good friend to many. He loved his Florida Gator's football. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Williams Young; two sons, Kevin (Donna) Young and Bryan (Wendy) Young; one grandson, Dalton Young; one granddaughter, Jaysea Young; two sisters, Yvonne (David) Greeson and Cheryl (Tom) Sinnott; father-in-law, William G. Williams; sister-in-law Linda Moss and many nieces and nephews .

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Young; his mother, Geraldine Young; nephew, Tommy Diamond; mother-in-law, Lottie Williams; and brother-in-law, Billy Williams.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday August 21, 2014. Services will be at 11 am on Friday August 22, 2014 at Eastern Gate Funeral Home with Brother Ken Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Byrd, Justin Bailey, Hugh Carter, David Joy, Scott Thompson, Donnie Coates, Tommy Cody, and Ronnie English. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Whitten, Marcus Thompson, Sonny Lewis, Paul Cody, Larry Bashum, and Clark Manning.

We will see you in heaven one day.
