

Carmie Elizabeth Coffield, known affectionately as Connie, passed away on July 19, 2023, at the age of 95 in Pensacola, Florida. Born in Century, Florida, Carmie led a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and kindness.
Carmie was a devoted mother, a talented cook, and an exceptional seamstress. She dedicated many years of her life to working in Child Development at Lakeview and found great joy in her position at Sacred Heart Hospital. Carmie’s generosity knew no bounds, and her selfless heart touched the lives of all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Carmie is survived by her children, Robert “Tony” Coffield, Susan Coffield Vickrey Hughes, Greg Coffield and Barry Coffield. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Darrell Williams. Carmie’s legacy extends to her grandchildren, Alissa Vickrey Dobson (Jesse), Jeremy Coffield, Courtney Coffield, and Gregory Coffield, as well as her cherished great-grandsons, Ayden Dobson and Elijah Coffield.
Carmie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert J. “Tony” Coffield, and her siblings, Mildred Jordan, Carol Holifield, Alton Williams, Winifred Williams, Owen Williams, and Roy Williams.
A ceremony to honor Carmie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 03, 2023 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Carmie’s passion for helping others makes this organization a fitting choice for those wishing to honor her memory.
