
Cora Shirley (Freeman) Majors age 83 of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in her current home in Flowery Branch, GA.
Born on September 9, 1942 in Pensacola, Florida, Shirley lived a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to her family. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend whose greatest joy came from time spent with those she loved..
Shirley had a deep love for her family and treasured every moment spent together—whether cooking, sharing meals, celebrating holidays, or simply enjoying one another’s company. She was known for her kindness, big personality, and unwavering support for those around her. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and quiet strength.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald Majors, Sr as well as her parents Sallie and Roy Addison and her siblings Jerry Freeman, Sr and Gail Boyle.
She is survived by her son Donald Majors, Jr (Donna); daughters Debbie Farrell (Dave) and Sally Edgar (James); grandchildren Ashley Ridings, Jared Majors, Brandon Goodale, Samantha Mayne, Cayla Huff, Carly Barr, Cody Cates, Courtney Cates, Megan Maxwell and Cassidy Winfield; 13 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2026 from 12-1PM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL. Funeral services will then follow with Pastors Ken and Esther Ponder officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jared Majors, Brandon Goodale, Cody Cates, Kevin Gilmore, Jerry Freeman Jr, Robin Freeman, Jason Boyle, Will Huff
Shirley will be remembered always for her loving heart, her dedication to family, and the countless lives she touched.
