Daniel Paul Gerow

Daniel Paul (Tampa) Gerow, 79, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the care of Joyce Goldenberg Covenant Hospice. Danny Paul was born in Tampa, FL on October 7, 1931 and has resided in Pensacola since 1936. He attended A.V. Clubs and Pensacola High School and was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Loretta Gerow. Daniel is survived by his four children, Paul M. Gerow, Renee’ Warren (Joel), Charles H. Gerow (Cindy), Rebecca Gerow (Larry) and 6 grandchildren, Christina, Sarah, Jenifer, Stevan, Jacob, and Mason.

Daniel was a skilled brick mason and was employed at St. Regis Paper Mill. Daniel was also an accomplished guitarist and loved to entertain people and was also an avid bass fisherman. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Robin Baker, Dr. Tan, and the staff at Joyce Goldenberg Covenant Hospice. A special thanks to Kenneth and Patsy Nall and Ken McClure for being such a special part of dad’s life.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 5 to 7pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10:30am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Monsignor Cassidy officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:45am.
