David Howard Carrick, 66, of Pensacola, died Wednesday, December 07, 2011.

1945 - 2011

Mr. Carrick was born September 16, 1945 in Elyria, Ohio to Howard L. Carrick and Jesse Biddinger Carrick. He served in the U. S. Navy for 41/2 years, while in Pensacola and worked for Gulf Power Company, from which he retired after 33 years of service. Mr. Carrick was a member of Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching the boats as they sailed. Mr. Carrick's joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Carrick of Pensacola; mother, Jesse Carrick of Vermilion, OH; sons, Chad Carrick and wife Ashley of Fairhope, AL, and Jeff Carrick and wife Sanny of Pembroke Pines, FL, and daughter, Theresa Gillespie and husband Larry of Pensacola; brother, Dale Carrick and wife Kathy of Vermilion, OH; grandchildren, Turner David, Mary Katherine and Anna Madeline Carrick and Camilla Sophia and Caroline Grace Carrick; nephews and niece, Andrew, Brian and Anne Carrick.

Funeral service will be held at 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Riley Richardson officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
