Born July 24, 1953 in Cherry Point, North Carolina and deceased January 18, 2026 at her home in Pensacola, Florida.
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Friend.
She was a true Southern Girl born in North Carolina, then moved to Beaufort, South C. There she met and married the love of her life and resided in Pensacola, Florida. She was petite and blond, full of spunk and sass. She was to her family larger than life. She was a mother to her younger sister and brother who adored her. She could outcook Paula Deen. She was a proud Navy wife, who moved frequently, from base to base for more than 30 years, before finally settling in Pensacola, Florida.
She epitomized both style and class yet, in her later years she loved camping with her husband Jimmy. His eyes still light up even now when he speaks her name. Every October they traveled to the Mountains of Tennessee. Her love for her husband of fifty-five years and his for her was amazing. These two were truly one. She loved her two children with a depth and passion that was unequaled, never wanting them to stray too far from home. Her love for all animals, be it birds, cats, or dogs, was truly legendary.
Debbie is preceded by her beloved father, Retired MSGT. USMC Charles Postak, San Diego, CA who called her his Princess, her mother, Virginia Jean (McClure) Yarashus, Charleston, South Carolina, and her only brother, USN AD2 Charles Postak, Jr. Pensacola, Florida.
She is survived by her loving husband, Master Chief USN Retired James Johnson Sr, her son, James Johnson Jr, and her daughter, Jennifer Johnson. Grandson, Jonathan Johnson and family of Texas, and granddaughter, Victoria Johnson of California. Her four great grand-daughters. Her sisters, Diana Parsons and family, and Katrina Miskiewicz and family, nieces and nephews. Her beloved dog Koko and cats. She will live forever in our thoughts and hearts.

While we grieve and mourn her passing, we also believe she is at peace with our Lord and we will see and be with her in the New Jerusalem.
God himself will be with them, He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. REV.21; 3-4.
May she find her Eternal Rest in the City where the Lamb is the Light.
