

Born in 1946 in Wyoming to Donald and Mary Bowen, he was a dedicated US Navy Serviceman (1969-1991) serving as an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), serving in VA-122 Flying Eagles working on the A-7A Corsair II; Fleet Reconnaissance Squadron VQ-1, known as the “World Watchers” and Fleet Reconnaissance Squadron VQ-2, known has the “Bateman” working on the P-3 Orion Aircraft; he went onto complete his Naval Career has a Cryptologic Technician Maintenance (CTM) man working for Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA) retiring as a First Class Petty Officer. He served during Vietnam and Desert Storm. After retirement from the Navy, he went on to serve in a Government Service Career as a Cryptologic Maintenance man with MILCOM Corporation (1991-2011).
He is survived by his loving wife, MaryAnn Bowen, son Donald Bowen and his wife DeAnn, daughter Stefanie Bowen, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, Florida 32506 on 15 February 2016 with Services starting at 11:00 O’Clock. Burial will be performed at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Pensacola, Florida at 1:00 O’Clock.
