

Donna Sue Morris (Fields), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 28, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida. She was 76 years old, Donna's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family and faith.
Born on November 20, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri, Donna grew up in a loving family. She married James Robert Morris on November 11, 1967, and they had one daughter, Laura Davidson Kent. Sadly, James passed away on November 7, 2010, after 43 years of marriage.
Donna's career path was varied and fulfilling. After her daughter graduated High School, she worked in management at Network Telephone for several years. Later, she found joy working in the cafeteria at Molino Park Elementary School, where her warm personality brightened the days of many children.
Faith played a central role in Donna's life. She was a devout Christian and attended Highland Baptist Church. Her journey to faith began when her sister, Sandy Smith, encouraged her to explore her beliefs. Donna's decision to accept Jesus Christ as her Savior came during a Service at Jordan Baptist Church, a moment that shaped her life moving forward.
One of Donna's greatest joys was traveling to Walt Disney World with her family. These trips were more than just vacations; they were opportunities to create lasting memories with her loved ones. Her adventurous spirit and love for her family made each visit special.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Laura Davidson Kent and son-in-law, Barry Kent, as well as her grandson, Tanner Davidson. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including Julie Bryant, Stacy Robison, Bill Fields, Russell Fields, Paul Fields, David Smith, Jeffrey Smith, and Erik Pelikant. Her step-daughters, Jacqueline Duncan and Melissa Jennings also mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris, sisters, Sandy Smith and Debra Robison, brother, Dennis Fields, nephew, John Fields, parents, Jewel and Ray Fields, and step-daughter, Angela Harley.
Donna's sweet spirit touched the lives of many. Her kindness, generosity and adventurous nature will be remembered by all who knew her. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
The family has entrusted Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Pensacola,FL with her arrangements.
Donna Sue Morris's life reminds us of the power of faith, the importance of family, and the joy that can be found in simple acts of kindness. Her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared. May she rest in peace, knowing that her life was a blessing to many.
A visitation for Donna will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 W Nine Mile Road, FL 32534, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Burial will occur at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, Pensacola, FL.
