Doris (Ann Lloyd) Hinson, 86, went home to be with Jesus on December 22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Howard Hinson. They were married for 56 years. She was also preceded by her brother, Darrell Lloyd and her sisters Peggy Arthur, Vivian Faile and Evelyn Bennet. She is survived by her children Renee Fell of Lillian, Alabama, Brenda Austin of Clover, South Carolina and Mike Hinson of Pensacola; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a special niece, Karen Phillips and her husband David of Sharon, South Carolina.
Doris was a cosmetologist for 10 years, running her own beauty shop, an LPN at Baptist Hospital for six years and a cook who loved making candy and desserts. She also loved crocheting, reading and tending to her dogs, Peanut and Jazzy, who brought her much joy.
“Please don’t mourn for me; I am with my darling husband and my mother, brother and sisters. Most of all, I’m with Jesus.”
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016, immediately followed by a service at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, Pensacola.
