Dorothy Levaughn Tucker

Dorothy Levaughn Tucker, known to all as Levaughn, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, in Miramar Beach, FL, at the age of 96. She was born on March 7, 1928, and devoted her life to faith, family, and service.

Levaughn was married to Theodore “Buddy” Tucker, who preceded her in death in 2017. Together, they owned, operated, and dedicated their lives to Christian radio stations across the country, spreading messages of hope and faith to countless listeners. Their work was a testament to their unwavering devotion to their beliefs and their commitment to sharing the word of God.

Levaughn is survived by her four children: Donnie Tucker - Parkland, FL, Janie Taylor - Castle Pines, CO, Judy Adams - Destin, FL, and Sherry Wechsler - Parkland, FL. She also cherished 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Levaughn’s family was her pride and joy, and her legacy lives on through the love and values she instilled in them.

Levaughn is also survived by her brother, Tommy Franklin Brooks. She was predeceased by her siblings Tony Delbert Brooks, Clyde "Dale" Brooks, Elvy "Louise" Vann, and Hazel "Marjorie" Howell. The bond she shared with her siblings was a treasured part of her life, and she held dear the memories they created together.
