Mr. Egee was born in Chicago Illinois.
He moved to Pensacola in the 1950’s where he was stationed at Pensacola Navy Base while serving in the United States Navy.
Mr. Egee was employed at American Cyanamid for a few years.
He became a Deputy for the Escambia County Florida Sheriff’s Department.
Later he transferred to the Identification Division. He retired in 2001 as Sergeant after serving 31 years with the Sheriff’s Department.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason with the Hadji Shrine Temple. He was a founding member of the antique car unit ‘The Untouchables’. He drove his 1925 Chevrolet hardtop in many parades through Northwest Florida.
He joined the Moose Lodge in 1974 where he served as Governor multiple times.
He and Sharon dedicated many years of service at the Lodge where they’ve made lasting friendships.
He enjoyed golf and bowling and took many trips with family and friends.
Mr. Egee is survived by his wife of 50 years Sharon Egee; Children, Steve Egee and wife Robbie Lamar Lewis, Shelby Barnes and husband Kenny; Grandchildren, Seth Egee,Olivia Egee,Brittney Lewis, Dewayne (Amber) Cecil, Stephanie (David) Grant, Shane Barnes and Corey (Mary Beth) Barnes; Great grandchildren and other family and friends. Mr Egee is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Evelyn Egee; his children Barbara Egee, Donna Cecil and Shawn Egee.
Pallbearers will be, Seth Egee, Shane Barnes, Corey Barnes, Noah Williamson, Zach Wilson and
Bucky Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the Moose Lodge and members of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 3351 Scenic Highway 90e, Pensacola, FL 32503. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM, 3351 Scenic Highway 90e, Pensacola, FL 32503.
