1946-2018
Tuesday, February 6, 2018, God needed a piano player in Heaven, so he called home an original piano man, Ed Kleshinski. Born July 28, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, Ed was adopted at a young age, along with his sister Joy by Joseph and Catherine (Hornung) Kleshinski of Mansfield, Ohio. He lived a colorful life, surrounded by his music, performing at an early age in France, to his gospel music with the Good Shepards and Loveflite, as a back-up singer and piano player for the Oak Ridge Boys, to his piano playing at the VFW with Kenny and Brad and the Deep South Express.
In all ways, Ed was a deeply loving person who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. At his “Welcome Home” party, Ed was greeted by his parents and various aunts and uncles and his first wife Sara Ann Sturkie Jones.
Left behind to miss him and his music are his sister Joann “Joy” Griffith, his younger brother Joey Kleshinski, his second wife, Marjorie Whitehead, his third wife, Lara Alexandra “Alex” Kleshinski, his children: Johnny (Chirlena) Kleshinski, Sharlene “Shellie” Kleshinski, Shonda Watson, Edward “Eddie” Kleshinski, Jr., Genesis Wright, Jennifer Ibarra-Reyes, adopted children Theresa Ferbee, Nathaniel “Sam” Kleshinski, Sean “Caleb” Kleshinski, niece Cindy Brown, other nieces and nephews and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ed was very loved and will be missed by all.
