Elizabeth Catherine 'Libby' Stedham

1924 – 2015

Elizabeth Catherine “Libby” Stedham was born April 19, 1924 to William L. and Nealy A. Mitchell. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of July 17, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth was a true artist. She painted award winning pictures giving most to family and friends. She also enjoyed playing the organ and arranging flowers from her garden. Libby loved going to their beach cottage in Destin, FL and they made many trips in their motorhome. She was a member of Warrington Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Carl and Samuel Mitchell.

Elizabeth is survived by her best friend, love of her life, her husband of seventy three years, Carroll Stedham; brother, Gene Mitchell (Gail); brothers-in-law, Lynn Stedham (Pat) and Gene Stedham (Louise); many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; and their very special neighbors.

Special thanks are given to Libby’s caregivers, Angie, Anna, Seante and Emerald Coast Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Entombment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday.
