Emerlee Marie Darbyshire

She was born January 07, 1931 in Repton, Alabama to William Richerson and Molly Crutchfield Richerson. After graduation from Tate High School in 1949 and Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1952, she married Leslie L. Darbyshire, September 15, 1952.

During Leslie's 23 year career in the Marine Corps, Marie was a supportive and dedicated wife and mother. Marie worked in several hospitals and clinics until retiring in 1996.

She is preceded by her parents, Luke and Molly Richerson; brothers, William L. Richerson, Albert D. Richerson and Billy Richerson; sister, Evelyn Gillette and granddaughter, Amber Darbyshire.

She is survived by her husband, Les Darbyshire; sons, David Darbyshire (Lori), Andrew Darbyshire (Cathy) and Paul B. Darbyshire (Shireen); sister, Pearl Pape (George); sister-in-law, Betty Richerson; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Marie will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Pensacola, FL 32507. The funeral cortege will depart from Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1394 E 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514.
