Evan graduated with honors from both Pace High School and the University of West Florida. He worked for many years with Roads Inc., followed by DRMP in Pensacola.
He is deeply missed by his father, Michael Hartsfield (Chantal); his mother, Amy Hartsfield Mapoles (Chip); his beloved children Elijah (EJ) and Ruby-Francis; his siblings, Patrick (Ellie); Katie; Caroline (B.J.); Matthew (Olivia); Lindsey (Michael); and Andrew (Suzanna); and aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, cousins, and friends.
Evan loved the outdoors. His passions were surfing, fishing, and music. These were the things that were centering for him. He was a friend to many, but more than anything he loved his children and was a wonderful, loving father.
A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE WILL BE HELD ON HIS BIRTHDAY, Friday, August 1st from 5:00-6:00 PM at Bayview Fisher Pou Funeral Home located at 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, followed by a Memorial and Paddle Out at his favorite surfing spot, The Cross, at Pensacola Beach. Friends and family are welcome to arrive as early as 6:45pm to share memories, pictures, and stories with the paddle out at sunset – 7:45pm.
The family is grateful for all who have reached out to us with kind words you have had about Evan. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
