Florence Mixon Hodges, of Pensacola passed away peacefully in the presence of family Monday, October 27, 2014. She was born to Lee and Missie Mixon in Geneva, Alabama. She and her late husband John L. Hodges, Sr. moved to Pensacola in 1952. She enjoyed cooking and serving her friends and family. Her favorite days involved family getting together for food and fellowship.
Florence is survived by her son John Hodges and his wife Chandra; grandchildren, Jenny Roberts and her husband Ben, Garrett Hodges and his wife Brittany; great-grandchildren, Luke, Isaac and Nate Roberts; brother, Rex Mixon and his wife Dorothy; and sister, Mary Alice Butler.
Services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday November 1, 2014 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
