Frances Montez Burt

Montez Burt passed away April 5, 2013. She was born to Hugh and Sarah Ivey of Repton, Alabama, in 1921 and was blessed with five brothers and a special sister, Voncile Newman, of Andalusia, Alabama.

She married Chesley B. Burt and celebrated 64 years of marriage prior to his death. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Becky Wiggins (Ricky) of Lillian, Alabama; Billy Burt (Charlza) and Cathy Huelsbeck (John) of Caontonment, Florida. A shining star in her life was her only grandchild, Michael Huelsbeck of Panama City, Florida.

Montez was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family. She was a loving wife, a caring daughter and a beloved sister. To her children, she was a wonderful Mother, always there encouraging and instilling good values to live by. As a Mother, she was a blessing to her children.

Montez is preceded in death by her husband, Chesley Burt, her parents, Hugh and Sarah Ivey and five brothers, R.T., Woodrow, Clyde, Luverne and Max Ivey. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, her grandson, her sister, three sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer special heartfelt thanks for the loving and compassionate care provided to Montez by Sherry and Steve Crutchfield and for the care provided by Covenant Hospice.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 3pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with visitation prior to the service at 2pm. Bayview Fisher-Pou, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32503 is in charge of arrangements.
