

Franklin P. Losito passed away on 30 November 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida at the age of 83. His beautiful wife, Gretchen, was by his side when he drew his last breath. Frank was born in 1942, to his loving parents, Joseph and Mary Kathleen Losito, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Frank attended high school in Cincinnati and joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17. He spent much of his career in Southeast Asia, but his favorite assignment was at Hellenikon AFB, in Athens, Greece. Frank enjoyed golf and singing. He especially loved singing songs from the 50s and 60s by artists like Frank Sinatra and Roy Orbison. He was a longtime member of the American Legion and VFW posts here in Pensacola, and he made many friends there over the years.
Frank met his wife, Gretchen Frickey, while stationed at Richards Gebauer AFB, in Kansas City, Missouri. He loved talking about how they met for the first time when she came into the dining hall. After many adventures and assignments together, Frank retired at Dover AFB, Delaware in 1984 and relocated to Pensacola, Florida for the sunshine, warm weather and beaches.
Frank is survived by his wife, Gretchen, his two sons, Anthony and Bradley Losito, and his brother John Losito. Frank is also survived by his three grandchildren, Ryan, Bryce and David Losito.
Services will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Private family time is 9:00 - 9:30 AM. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Services begin at 11:00 AM with a roll time of 12:30 PM to motorcade to Barrancas National Cemetery for internment at 1:00 PM.
