Gladys Elizabeth "Sassy" Adams

Born on January 1, 1939 in Gilbertown, Alabama, she was the daughter of Amos and Irene Adams. She graduated from George Corley Wallace State Community College in 1975 with an RN degree. She retired from the State of Alabama as a Registered Nurse after 35 years.

She loved going to church, singing in the choir and attending Bible study groups. Her hobbies were international travel, cheering for the University of Alabama football and NASCAR racing. She will be remembered for her love of family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Amos and Irene Adams, brothers Charles Harold Adams Sr., John Marshal Adams, and sister Saber Nell Powell. She is survived by her brother James Levern (Linda) Adams. She is also survived by her children, Debra McKenzie, Diane (Dwaine) Norwood and Billy (Stephanie) Alexander. 8 Grandchildren, Ashley (Mark) Campoli, Adam (Amy) Jimerson, Elizabeth (Brett) Haymans, Kimberly (Matthew) Creighton, Rebecca (Jonathan) Purkey, Micheal (Rachel) Lathan, Justin (Lexi) Alexander, Jake (Mollie) Alexander, and 14 Great Grandchildren.

A Visitation for Gladys will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534, followed by a Celebration of Life service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
