Gladys R. Barraclough

Gladys R. Barraclough, 93, of Pensacola, died Saturday, November 14, 2015.Gladys was born December 28, 1921 in Sanford, Maine to Ernest Alexander Reid and Mary Jane Porrell Reid. She retired from the NEX in Pensacola. Gladys was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed ceramics, cake decorating and bowling. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, brother and son.She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harry P. Barraclough, Sr. of Pensacola; sons, Harry P. Barraclough, Jr. of Cantonment, FL and Mark Alexander Barraclough of Naples, Italy; daughters, Nancy Bloodgood of Cantonment, FL, Maureen Murphy of Cantonment, FL and Cynthia Walker of Danville, WV; sister, Noreen L'Heureux of Sanford, ME; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church with Father Patrick Foley as celebrant. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the funeral home.OAK LAWN FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with arrangements.
