

Hannah Jane Emery Birks was called home by her Lord and Savior October 4th, 2020 in the early morning hours. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and married the love of her life James F. Birks on 9-28-49 as it was then she moved to her new home in Pensacola where she will be laid to rest.
Hannah was a devoted Christian, loving wife and homemaker. She was a loving mother who prayed daily and cherished her only child namesake, Hannah Jane. She adored all her grandchildren, family and friends. She always left a loving lasting impression with those she came in contact with, as her beautiful smile was contagious.
She loved gardening, member of the Daisy Garden Club and Eastern Star. She loved the outdoors and sunshine as bright as her personality. A total game player (always the winner) and avid reader.
Hannah E. Birks is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Emery and Martha Ann Oliver Emery, her husband James Francis Birks, son-in-law Edward Faile, Jr. and she was the youngest and only surviving sibling of ten.
She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Jane Faile, Grandchildren, Laura Hartzog (Cullen), Anne Westbrook (Gordon), Matthew Pierce (Andrea). Seven great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
Celebration of Life will be at McIlwain Presbyterian Church, October 14th, 2020, E. Blount Street, Pensacola, FL 32503, Visitation at 10:00 a.m., Service at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Rob Looper. Followed by graveside at Bayview Fisher-Pou Cemetery, 3351 Scenic Hwy 90E, Pensacola, FL 32503.
