1945 – 2021
Bishop Herman Elic Booker was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was born on February 05, 1945, to Mr. Herbert and Mrs. Ethel Gilliam-Booker of Farmville Virginia. He left Virginia at an early age and moved to New York City where he grew in wisdom, statute, and favor with both God and man. (Luke 2:52)
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Adrian Booker, and two sisters Rebecca Booker and Mary Booker Sprague.
At the age of 24, he came to know the Lord and God began to bless him miraculously. He was called to preach the Gospel and began to evangelize on the streets of New York in the Bronx and Harlem areas. After several years ministering in New York, God led him to move to Pensacola Florida and continue his ministry. In 1980, he founded True Vine Pentecostal Holiness Church Inc., where he pastored until his death.
The ministry has grown greatly and continues to be a blessing to the community and surrounding areas. As a result, True Vine has produced many spiritual sons and daughters who now spread the gospel of Jesus Christ across the globe. His life and legacy will forever live on in our hearts and actions!
He leaves to cherish in memory his beloved wife of 20 years, Minister Lucie Stokes-Booker three daughters and one son: LeKayla, Alice, Stephanie, and Michael Booker all of Pensacola Florida. One sister Victoria Booker of Baltimore Maryland; two Aunts Cora Thorton and Cynthia Trent of Farmville Virginia; one Uncle Aaron Trent (Vera) of Bronx New York; one brother-in-law Benjamin (Shontell) Hatcher of Dundalk Virginia; one sister-in-law Marsha (Nathan) Mackey of Owings Mills Maryland. Ten grandchildren Adriana, Eionna, Eionno, Tyshawn, Cidney, Olivia, Tamira, Niya, Kendrick, Carter, and one great grandchild.

A funeral service for Herman will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at True Vine Pentecostal Holiness Church, 7862 Graves Road, Pensacola, FL 32514. Following the funeral service will be a visitation from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at True Vine Pentecostal Holiness Church, 7862 Graves Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514.
