

Hope is internationally acclaimed as artist, sculptor, illustrator, cartoonist, art teacher and Poet.
Born January 14, 1938 in St. Joseph, Missouri, she had her first art show at the age of seven. She is a self taught and natural born artist. She cut her teeth on drawing pencils.
Her art is owned by private collectors, notables, and presidents throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia, and known in India and Africa. She paints in all mediums. Her biography is in over 30 "Whos Who Around the World".
Hope has taught art since 1957 and had her own art school and gallery for several years. She also had her own T.V. show teaching art everyday. Then, she worked free lance and taught in her home.
In 1963 she created art (sculpture paintings) for the blind, opening new doors and allowing the blind to see Hope's art.
In 1989 the Grand Duchy of Avram, His Eminence, Prince John, the grand duke of Avram in Tasmania, Australia granted Hope Marie a coat of arms and made her a nobles for heraldry. Then in 1994 he made her a countess for her art achievements. Prince John owns a 4 x 8 foot oil entitled "Master of Art' that hangs in the Ormiston Palace. It took 3 years to complete this painting.
Hope Marie received recognition from such notables as: Red Skelton, Liberace, Vincent Price, Normal Rockwell, and U.S. Presidents Carter, Regan, and Clinton to mention a few. Most of these people own her art.
Writing poetry is Hope's hobby, she was selected as on of the best new poets for 1987, 1988, and 1989 by the American Poetry Association and Amherst Society and won awards as well. A poem entitled "Hope and Freedom' was included in the special collection commemorating the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The poem has been published in several books.
Hope Marie Maki is in "Who's who in American Arts". Achievement awards from the Am. Biog. Inst. "Most admired woman of the decade" and "women's inner circle of achievements". She was chosen as the "formost women of the twentieth century" and "Women of year" out of England, Also "Personalities of the south" and "America," "International Who's whoof Intellectuals" (England), and much more.
Hopes awards and books cover her wall like "The Wall America" does at Trader Jons.
Hope is survived by her children, Richard Clarence Mcall, James Willam McCall and Daughter Claudia Maria McCall.
