Inez Berta Evans Faulk

Inez grew up in Jackson County, Florida with her brothers and sisters who have preceded her in death: Ernestine, Edna, Claudia, Cecil, Almon, Heddy and Alvie. On January 12, 1944, she married the love of her life, James Houston Faulk and they began their adventure together that spanned until his death in 2001. On July 3, 1945 their son, James Landis Faulk was born. While James was serving in the United States Air Force, they enjoyed duty stations in Germany, West Palm Beach and Alaska before finally settling in the Fort Walton Beach and Shalimar, Florida area. She worked Federal Civil Service as a secretary until her medical retirement in the early 80’s. During this time she enjoyed her job, vegetable gardening and good times with friends at their famous pool parties where her homemade margaritas were world renowned. She and James raised their granddaughter as well which kept their lives very busy!

James and Inez moved to Pace, Florida in their later years where they continued to enjoy vegetable gardening and spoiling their great-granddaughters. Inez lived the last several years at Homestead Village where she enjoyed sitting on the front porch with the other ladies while solving the world’s problems. Up until her death, you could always count on seeing her with lipstick on because she just couldn’t go anywhere without it! She was so excited to be able to see her second great-great-granddaughter born in October.

Inez is pre-deceased by her loving husband, James Houston Faulk and beloved son, James Landis Faulk, her constant companion Sassy, as well as her parents, brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Angela Krause (Manfred); grandson, Dustin Faulk; daughter-in-law, Nanci Faulk; great-granddaughters, Jessica Davis (Spencer) and Ashley Sewell; great-great-granddaughters, Ava Dobbs and Abigail Davis as well as many other relatives.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10 AM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Entombment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 AM until the service hour.
