Jacob William McKinley

JW was born on November 30, 1932 in Huxford, Alabama to Edgar and Ruby Crawford McKinley.

Mr. McKinley was raised in South Alabama. He graduated from JU Blacksher High School in Uriah, Alabama. Later he joined the Navy and served his country during the Korean War. JW began working for the Chemstrand Nylon plant (later Monsanto) in Pensacola where he worked until his retirement in the mid 1990’s. He loved spending time his free time outdoors, fishing and gardening.

JW leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Rebecca Ann Blackman McKinley, daughter, Joy McKinley (Jay) Matthews, son, Jacob (Kelly Davis) McKinley, grandchildren, Hannah Matthews, Jake McKinley and Kenna McKinley, brother, Lawrence (Lois) McKinley, sister, Dorothy Hubbard , Sister-in-law, Diane McKinley, and many other beloved family members and friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Gerald, Harvey and Buster.

The family wishes to thank all who knew, loved, and cared for JW.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday June 4th from 11:00 am-12:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, 1985 W. Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534. JW will be laid to rest at Eastern Gate Memorial Cemetery.
