James Carswell Hinson, Jr.

HINSON Jr., James C, 79, of Pensacola passed away April 6, 2015 surrounded by family. Jim was born December 13, 1935 to James and Myrtle Hinson. One of 3 children he grew up in Pensacola with his 2 sisters; Hattie Pauline Hinson & Marion Hinson Ford(deceased).

Jim was a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans with a Business degree and he proudly served in the US Army. Jim's love of the Arts & Music lead him to support both. As an avid traveler he liked living in New Orleans, St. Louis & New York and he traveled every chance he had. During his long business career he served as a CFO, on Board of Directors, Stockbroker, Financial Analyst, Consultant and most recently as the CEO of Knowhow Group. Jim had a great appreciation for other cultures and a true respect for them that came from his heart.

He is survived by his Partner; Sean Yu, Sister; Hattie Pauline Hinson, Nephews; Steven (Mary Beth) Smith, Evan (Becky) Humphrey, Nieces; Amy (Hank) Flury, Carol (Tracy) Spikes, Joan (Wayne) Anderson; Good Friend; Anise McGuire, and numerous Great Nieces, Nephews, and Friends. Jim will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Vistation Thursday April 9th 10-11 am with Funeral Mass at 11:00 am @ Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit 10650 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola, FL 32507. Burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:30 PM. Arrangements by Oak Lawn Funeral Home www.oaklawnfunerals.com
