Jeanette Strother

Jeanette grew up in Pensacola, FL. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1954. Married the late Samuel Louis Strother. She went to work at Monsanto as an electrician until she retired in 1993.

Jeanette was a very active church member at Smyrna Baptist Church. She loved to fish in her younger years. She loved to travel to Oregon, Hawaii, Virginia and Kentucky to visit family. Family was everything to Jeanette.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents John and Mattie Wise, her brothers, JQ Wise, Wyndal Wise, Lawrance Wise, John (Buddy) Wise, Wayne Wise. Her sisters Martha Velasco, Jodi O'Sheilds, Jean Jones and Joyce Peoples. She is also preceded in death by two of her son's Tony Strother and Terry Strother. Also, two grandson's T.J. Strother and Jason Strother.

Jeanette is survived by her two brothers Burl (Nina) Wise, and Lamar (Jennie) Wise both of Pensacola, FL. Two son's Timothy Strother of Pensacola, FL and Troy (Kris) Strother of Shelbyville, KY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Heather (Donnie) McCoy, Wayne Jr. (Janice) Strother, Christopher Strother, Jennifer (Mike) Tanner, Jessica (Jason) Rigsby, Tiffany (Ryan) Calvert, Jay Strother, Jacob Strother and Chase Strother. Jeanette also had many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and very close family friends.

A visitation for Jeanette Strother will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534. A funeral service will follow, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM. The committal service will follow the Funeral Service on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
