Joseph and Patricia married on November 1, 1983 and moved from Mississippi to Pensacola, Florida in 1989. He was a Welder in the shipyard and he served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the wood turning club, and the Pensacola Carving Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Patricia A. Verdi; son, Joseph D. Verdi III; four daughters, Lisa Marie Verdi, Debra Bembry, Suzanne DeVault, and Karen DeVault; brother, Paul Verdi; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several extended family members.
