Karen was born in Hammond, Indiana to parents Perry and Helen Mair. She spent many years as a Real Estate Broker in Gulf Shores and later was employed at Dillard’s department store in Pensacola for 15 years until she retired.
Karen enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dog Rocky. Camping with her family and friends was her favorite hobby. She also enjoyed floating in the Gulf of Mexico and relaxing on the beach.
She will be remembered for her kind, loving spirit that touched many. Karen’s laughter and passion for life was unmatched. She was always the first one to reach out to others who were going through a tough time or to give to those in need. She was a very special woman that inspired and touched many hearts.
Karen is survived by her children Ted C. Tampary (Linda), Helen M. Robertson (Ricky), Mark C. Tampary (Ana), Suzanna T. Salmon (Greg); her beloved sister Sue Ella’s children Sarah Nezovich and Ryan Dockens; her grandchildren Dino Tampary (Cheyenne), Karlee Robertson (Tyler), Kristin Robertson, Clipper Salmon, Luke Tampary; Anya De La Cruz; and her sister Jo Ann Tiel. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Helen Mair; her sister Sue Ella Dockens; and her beloved grandson Garner C. Tampary.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, February 11th at 12:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home located at 1985 West Nine Mile Road Pensacola, Florida 32534, with the interment at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. The visitation for Karen will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
