Karl Johnson

Karl Johnson, age 59, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Karl never met a stranger. With his radiant smile and infectious energy, he had a rare gift for lighting up every room he entered. A natural storyteller, Karl could turn everyday moments into lasting memories, delighting those around him with his animated tales and heartfelt laughter.

He possessed a gentle, caring soul and a loving presence that made everyone feel instantly at ease. Karl found joy in music, singing, playing basketball, and watching classic TV shows from a bygone era. Above all, he cherished his mother, who was the heart of his world.

Karl was preceded in death by his father, Paul Johnson. He is survived by his devoted mother, Bayzar Johnson; stepfather, Stanley Connor; brother, Ken Johnson; sister-in-law, Dawn Johnson; his beloved niece, Halana Johnson; and a large extended family of step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Karl will be deeply missed by his family and all those fortunate enough to have shared a smile, a laugh, or a moment of joy in his presence. Though he is gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.

A visitation for Karl will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
